As someone who often works with small mechanical components, I’ve found these files to be indispensable for smoothing edges and refining details.Each file in the set—round, triangular, square, flat, semi-round, and jeweller’s—offers a different shape and texture, giving me the flexibility to tackle a wide range of materials and contours. They lean slightly toward the coarser end, which makes them ideal for shaping both metals and plastics with confidence.What really stands out is how well these files integrate with the Multi Drive system. The handle gives just the right amount of control and weight, turning delicate filing into a precise, almost meditative task. It’s clear that the MetMo team has put real thought into how these tools work together.If you’re already a fan of the Multi Drive, this file set is a no-brainer. It’s a small upgrade that makes a big difference in your workflow.
These are great for fine work. However be aware that they are prone to rust. I got great advice from Metmo on how to treat them and what to do to prevent them further rusting. Basically the rust needs to be removed and then a light coating of a suitable oil applied before storing, repeated application after use. I have yet to do it (lazy I know) but I will get around to it. Fit perfectly in the expansion case with a flap to stop them rubbing on anything else in the case.
