The separator is nice keeps the ratchet and the bits from rubbing on each other or tipping back and forth in your pocket but it is a little inconvenient to constantly make sure there's a separator between them

Ok, but could be better

I used to use it about once a week or so, but the magnetism on the bit case that binds the driver seems to be to be on the decline. After about a year it's no longer a solid clamp, it's loose and I'm not confident enough to carry it around as a combined unit anymore without an elastic band. Definitely agree with other reviewers that a Mk 2 should be magnetic metal rather than printed plastic, this would also mean more rigid lips to distinctly clip it all in place. Even if that's a considerably more expensive solution, it might make it practical and durable.

Not helpful.

This is not magnetic, and so when you separate the pocket driver and the bit carrier (to use one of them) the Separator falls to the ground. Also, it's not helpful having the pocket driver lined up next to the bit carrier - when you separate them, the tip of the driver clings to the large magnet on the bit carrier, and the driver swings open. I would suggest not purchasing the Separator.

Hi Streeter,Thanks for your feedback! The function of the separator is to sit between the Pocket Driver and the Magnetic bit case and act almost like a washer or gasket that precisely fits into the chamfers on both products. This allows the Pocket Driver to still grab on to the neodymium magnet on the rear of the case and removes all of the rocking/ sliding that can happen when the two are connected by themselves, but the separator itself is made of polyamide nylon-12.Thanks again!Team MetMo

Ahh darnit!

I just bought the Magnetic Bit Case and thought that it would connect perfectly to the Pocket Driver. When I received it, I discovered that it did not connect in the snappy way I imagined it would, so I then ordered the leather Pocket Pack to help my two little friends stay together. Now I've done some digging and discovered this Separator, which is exactly what I needed all along. I'm wondering why there is zero mention of the Separator on the the Magnetic Bit Case page? Now it's looking like I may have to place another very expensive order across the herring pond :o

We're so sorry to hear about your experience, and that it didn't meet your expectations. I'll have our customer service team get in touch and we can get this sorted for you! Regards, Team MetMo.

Ordered by mistake. One needs two magnetic holder to use this and I only have 1. And the magnetic holder is out of stock.

Hi Bijan,You only need one magnetic bit holder to use the separator; it's designed to be paired with one magnetic bit holder and one Pocket Driver! I'd recommend checking out the end of Kickstarter update 6 so you can see some photos showing the separator in use. I hope this helps!

A simple elegant design

It's such a simple concept and it adds quite a bit to the functionality of the Pocket Driver if you have the magnetic bit-holder.
