The Stubster
A shorter handled Multi Drive that lets you get into tight spaces, this palm-sized miniature has all the same features of the longer handle but around half the length of its bigger brother.

A Stubby Screwdriver
Just like the stubby screwdrivers in woodworking but for micro screws, allowing you to get into difficult spaces.
Let’s face it, that last screw is always going to be somewhere really difficult and flexible shafts for micro screwdrivers are not as helpful as they should be… so with a stubby handle you can get onto your screw, do the job, and get back to whittling your wooden statue of Ron Swanson.

Holds 4mm Bits
Stubster holds all the same bits as the full-sized Multi Drive, and uses the same collet holding system so you can easily interchange between whatever you need or leave your Stubster set up for specific jobs, letting you get on with your task.
Drill Action
Palm-sized drilling action. When else do you get to say that? The Stubster makes working on tight and delicate projects much easier, manoeuvring over and around what you are working on. It's short enough so you can control it fully and still use both hands to support what you're working on.

Why Have You Made This?
Why, I hear you ask?! Always a good question! When we first ran our campaign for the Multi Drive, a common question was 'can we have a shorter handle?' for both the portability and ability to get into a tight space.
It was something we had half developed prior to the campaign so we just finished it up and, after the feedback we had, the end result was just too much fun not to make. This endearing little fella was an instant hit!

We go through every milling, drilling, turning, broaching and tapping process to make a Multi Drive from raw billets of metal, so you can see the amount of work involved in making each Multi Drive. Although this one off was made by hand using manual machinery, the production Multi Drives use industrial CNC machinery.

Having received and used the full sized stainless steel multi-drive it was a natural decision to add a Stubster version. I wanted something neat, strong and convenient just to slip in my pocket or stow in the glove compartment of my wee Smarty car. It fits all the add-ons as my full sized one so it’s super convenient and obviously well thought through. And it’s super cute too. I love the smoothness of the bearing. No play just perfection.

I love this little addition. I often grab it instead of its big brother for smaller quick jobs like accessing a battery compartment or more intricate work. It allows for a lot of fine motor control. Sometimes I've need two drivers at once and then its even more useful to have this little one. It is also good in a tight space. So far I've mainly used it for inscribing but I love that it can fit virtually all the attachments.
Great for tight spaces or to switch around between different bits! Only thing I would like is magnetic tips. Other than that this is so awesome to have!

Love this thing! This the second one I purchased ,as a gift for my brother.
I recently received a full set of multi drive in stainless steel, which is a statement in excellence to go with my Fractal vice and workstation bundle.The Stubster is the standout component of the set, so easy to manipulate when being used as a scribe or as a screwdriver. Just to add to its functionality I added a 4mm to 6.3mm adapter from an online supplier to take the standard bits.I did have a small issue, my workstation arrived minus the steel rule but an email to customer service rectified the situation in short order.I feel certain this isn’t the end of the line and additional pieces will be added to the collection which are in everyday use in my workshop.
I like how small this tool is. I bought the add ons to use hex bits and a craft/scalpel blade and it makes a very portable helper. Also holds leads very well.

It's a great piece of engineering. But with my 4.0 mm bits (iFixit and others), it's a bit fiddeling to grip the bit correctlyand than most times the bits are wiggling a bit.gr. Jigal ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I picked this up alongside the full-size to give myself a little more flexibility working inside computer cases, and it's great at that. I'll never reach for it over the full-size when I have the option, but sometimes you don't.
The Stubster is a great companion for my Multi Drive kit. I like to use the full sized Multi Drive for driving, filing, and scribing. The Stubster is a great size for controlled cuts with a blade and getting into toght spots.
I really like using this with the longer extension bit holder for extra precision. Feels great in the hand and works well.
It's Multi Drive's little brother, a bit chunkier and shorter, but just as perfect.Very very useful.
