A full set of final stage fractal jaws made from laser sintered nylon. These jaws are designed for working on very delicate projects where even the most gentle of fractal steel hugs would leave a mark.
Solid nylon, these are still a hard plastic so will deform slightly but won't scratch metals or painted surfaces and can still provide a hard clamping force.

The nylon soft jaws are perfect for holding parts with delicate surfaces such as my Curta parts.The Part is held sucurely in place and the delicate surfaces are perfect protected.
These are super handy additions. I initially mistook them for jaw covers and not standalone jaws themselves. With a few twists of an Allen key you can swap out the steel jaws for these Nylon Soft jaws to prevent gouging your work. The set up is straight forward to swap the metal jaws with the soft jaws.If you are working with delicate pieces, the soft jaws are key!

I love the Fractal Vise for holding odd shapes of delicate model car parts. The point of a fractal is to conform to the shapes, but I was concerned about metal jaws on plastic parts. I added on the nylon soft jaws and have complete peace of mind that nothing will be damaged from clamping down tight enough when I need to paint pieces or attach additional pieces. This entire product has been a lifesaver.
These jaws are gentle on finish while still being incredibly fine in their grip! I’m really pleased MetMo went to the effort of offering alternative jaws! I tend to use these for more delicate pieces like woods, plastics, brass, and I’ve ceramic! They grip really well and I’ve never had the slightest mark from them.

The nylon soft jaws for the Metmo fractal vice operate exactly as the standard stainless steel originals. There are many occasions in fine clock and watch work where care must be taken to preserve the finish of the article being repaired. These soft jaws are a perfect answer. Although it’s an easily fitted modification I bought a second vice to have instant access to the harder jaws.
