MetMo Fractal Vise

The Gripping Challenge...

Why Traditional Vises Fall Short:

✗ Round materials that roll and slip

✗ Delicate pieces that crack under pressure

✗ Irregular shapes that won't seat properly

✗ Limited access angles for detailed work

✗ Marks and damage on finished surfaces

How We're Solving The Problem

✓ Six independent jaws wrap around any shape with multiple contact points

✓ Precision fine-adjustment applies just the right pressure without damage

✓ Each jaw moves independently to grip what standard vises can't hold

✓ Works vertically, horizontally, plus reversible jaws for inside clamping

✓ Gentle fractal grip holds securely without scratching or marking

Bringing an Icon of Engineering into The 21st Century

This forgotten relic took Kickstarter by storm, and now it's your turn. Drastically improve your clamping game with six independent movements, so you can wrap perfectly around whatever you're working on. Leave no stone unclamped.

What are you waiting for?! No more Mr. Vice Guy.

Built Beyond Lifetimes

We do things differently, making tools with the mind-set that they must last beyond a single lifetime. We bring old tool patents to back life and breathe modernity and accessibility into machining not seen outside of high-performance engineering.

Obsessive Over-Engineering

We love to over-engineer the simple things and bring large and otherwise unobtainable things into the miniature world - creating precision instruments that deliver industrial-grade performance in handheld form.

The Team

We're a small team of engineers and friends, banded together through a love for cutting-edge design that we are dedicated to delivering. We've made tools and precision instruments of intrigue in the past and deliver them no matter what problems the world has thrown at us, through Covid, wars and recessions, we're passionate about continuing to deliver on what we promise.

Lead by the designers of all things MetMo, James and Sean. Sean designed large-scale complex machinery for manufacturing products at high speed, and James worked in the automotive and aerospace industry tweaking various composite structures.
