Made in limited batches, turned from hard to find elm wood with a solid stainless steel construction, much like the original Weltrekord driver from over 100 years ago. 

Intentionally left untreated so you can enjoy the wood in its natural form or stain it yourself.

We're only making a few hundred of these a year due to the difficulty in sourcing the sustainable elm and working with wood.

a beautifully crafted tool

So pleased with this

Very happy with this - i really didn’t need another tool but couldn’t resist the wood. It was light when unfinished but varnish really brought out the grain, so happy with this! Was considering staining but glad i didn’t, the color deepened up with just the oil. And of course this is one of tools that is mechanically very satisfying. My dad was a mechanical engineer and he would have loved this !

We'd love to see a photo of the oiled handle Lisa! I'm so pleased to hear it came up so well!

Close to greatness

As good as the original but the wood swelling with humidity can cause the whole driver to seize up on this model. I trust it would be an easy fix on a next release.

It a beautifully Engineered Piece

I’m really chuffed with this, it’s my 2nd one but I love the natural wood handle, didn’t need another one really but it’s so well made I couldn’t resist

It’s big, it’s heavy, it’s wood!

I love how it feels in my hand. I have the stainless, and the SS feel strong, but cold. The wood feels warm and personal. It was so worth getting.
