MetMo Black Pocket Driver

I really thought I was going to get my new go-to driver. Unfortunately it is clunky and unwieldy. The hex bit set seems limited and they drag as I place the bits in and out of the driver. The leather pouch is really poor. It doesn’t contain the driver, magnetic bit holder or the bits well, they are a nightmare to get in and out, then it requires force to close. Once closed it is lumpy and bulges strains to pop open. The magnetic bit holder can only hold I think 6 bits and isn’t at all shaped to attached to the driver in a satisfying way, which seems an oversight. All this for just shy of *two hundred pounds*. I wouldn’t be so disappointed if it weren’t for a price-tag that screams excellence. I have other promo products that I love so maybe I had unfair expectations. Then again, I think I had high expectations because of the price.

Great addition to my EDC, very good quality. I like the action, the feel and the look of it. Much lighter than I was expecting, which is good as I already carry a multi tool. Just bought a bit kit to expand it's versatility. Look forward to testing it in the field.

The MetMo Pocket Driver significantly improves Konrad Baumann’s ingenious invention. It is a beautiful design and the engineering is beyond reproach. It is an enjoyable modern alternative to worry beads as well as an excellent tool for a wide variety of tasks.

I had the chance to use it now for several tasks. It's a great tool, especially when you need that extra bit of power. Also, when paired with a quality bit set it's my smallest toolbox. I'll carry it with me when there is a slight chance it could be used. And if not, it doesn't matter because it's so light and small.Also I like to keep it in my hands whenever appropriate. Clicking it open and close or rotating the driver just feels good. Highly recommended!

Received my pocket driver yesterday. At first, I was a bit surprised at how small it is, but that’s probably because I have my driver on my desk as a fidget tool. But now it all makes sense - solid, well machined and fits in your pocket - brilliant! I would say the only potential improvement is with the direction selector - the spring feels a bit underpowered, can get stuck, and the brass nobble would be much better if knurled. Very happy though - well done Metmo team!

What an absolutely fantastic tool! Holding and using it you can really feel the precision and care that went into designing and making it. This tool feels like it will definitely last a lifetime.The amount of torque you can get is incredible. I cracked a rusty 14mm nut off an old wheelbarrow no problem without the use of lubricants. Not only is this a great tool but it also makes an excellent fidget toy and easily fits in your pocket.

Received my Pocket Driver today and it's love at first sight. Feels great in the hand, looks lovely and the feel and sound of the ratchet is very satisfying. A perfect companion to my other EDCs...I've hardly even tried it out yet, but the very first thing I did was taking it apart. Not often it feels so natural to do so with a brand new purchase. It was also very easy to do and equally easy to assemble again. I don't foresee any issues in making sure this thing will last for decades.

I'd have never imagined one of my favorite objects to be a driver. As a designer myself, I believe great design elevates the experience, and they’ve achieved this by transforming a conventional tool into something exceptional. You can feel the quality when you hold it, and the genius when you use it. This is design at its finest—turning the chore of manual screwdriving into a pleasure. Plus its a gorgeous EDC!

I like the options the cheaper one is so light weight compared too the all stainless it depends what task I'll be doing that day as too which one I carry the all stainless feels like it will last two lifetimes great qaulity tool. I appreciate the thought that went into the bit carrier and pouch the only thing I bought that I have not used that much is extender but I do see how it could come in handy in certian situations just havent run into a screw that the pocket driver itself could not handle so haven't ever needed too put extention on yet but nice too know I have option if needed. The pocketdrivers fit nicely into pocket. I also own the bigger version it has come in handy quite a few times when my battery drill has run out of battery I've used it too drive a metal screw into frame of truck for some wireing I was doing something that would have been impossible too do with just a regular screwdriver. I give them all 5 stars ratings. Keep up good work

The shipping took longer than expected but the driver is better and lighter than I imagined. It is very convenient for EDC and I'm completely fan of the design (and I love how it switches between forward and reverse). It is very satisfying to use and will make you find opportunities to use it. It is the kind of tool you're proud to own. I find all Metmo projects interesting and will follow the next projects for sure!

I love my driver and pocket driver. I work in the solar business and i always have 2 things in my pocket. Pocket driver and a multitool. For the heavy duty jobs i carry my regular driver. Both 10 out of 10.

This driver is best thing since sliced bread. Nothing else to say besides the fact that its absolute perfection objectively speaking. Name a better driver, I'll wait. Love the size and feel of this little fella. The only wish I have would be for a full blacked out version (delete the stainless steel and replace with blacked out powder coating) but I'll just be as happy at my chances of winning the full gold edition. Metmo - please keep innovating new products, you will have my endless support in the Kickstarter campaigns even if I am broke at times. This company knows style and aesthetic and how to intertwine that with form and function. Stop thinking and get yourself this driver -- you will thank your future self. - Hassan

I'm very happy with my MetMo Pocket Driver. It's extremely versatile and easy to use. I would definitely recommend it. A high quality product.

I meant to buy the OG Driver for a specific problem that I have, which requires an insane amount of torque and focused weight centered in a T10 bolt’s fragile (remains of a) head to prevent any further damage. I got the Pocket Driver, by mistake, during the fast paced selling out deals on Black Friday weekend. It was a mixup, on my part, and when I received the Pocket Driver and opened the box, I initially felt really disappointed. I now feel bad, because I reached out to tell the Metmo team that I was disappointed in their marketing. It wasn’t their mistake. It was mine. I’m a jerk for that. Sorry, again, Metmo team!While I was waiting for their reply, I had some time to examine the Pocket Driver through the eyes of other reviewers, and read the comparisons offered by Metmo - OG vs. Pocket, and I realized that I was letting my disappointment in my situation get in the way of appreciating a really marvelous precision tool.This thing is really something incredible, and while I had originally intended to seek a refund or exchange, you couldn’t possibly convince me to send it back or sell it. It is SO useful for the small mechanical things, and it perfectly fills the void where I have previously had lesser bit drivers that always break or seize up!In addition, the Pocket Driver is also a perfect toy for times on the phone/remote screen sharing sessions with customers, and having to repeat server rescue commands to the user. The “click-click-click” of the chuck rotating in my fingers is distracting/soothing, and helps calm my nerves, when I feel anxious. Finally, it might seem expensive, but that’s just because this is not some cheap piece of unidentified scrap metal that’s made to varying/unknown tolerances, in a third world nation. The Pocket Driver is SOLID, QUALITY tooling that you will not likely regret buying. Overall, for me, this thing is 10/10 stars. Without question. No other tool I have ever owned is at this level of precision and quality. I am buying the OG Driver now, and will definitely any buy other tools that they make in the future. Loving this little tool I’ve really enjoyed looking at the precision machining involved in making it and I’ve actually enjoyed using it on a couple of bits of bike maintenance. There is a fantastic little thing with hundreds of uses.
